What is Life Sorted?
Life Sorted is an eight-session course in book and audio form, written for anyone whose life feels a touch too busy, too noisy or too far from the person they meant to be.
It is not a religious book, though it borrows from many traditions. It is not a productivity book, though you will be more productive when you have finished it. It is not a self-help book of the kind that promises a new life in thirty days, though I do believe you can change your life in three weeks if you are willing.
It is the kind of book a kindly aunt might press into your hands across a kitchen table.
Welcome
Have you ever stood at the kitchen sink, washing dishes, only to realise your mind has been a hundred miles away the whole time? I know I have!
For years I would rush through the washing up just to get to the next thing and the next and the next. Sound familiar?
A monk once told me that any chore done with full attention is a meditation. He said the dishes don’t mind whether you’re present or absent, but you do - your nervous system is paying the price either way. So why not pay it kindly?
Pull up a chair. Put the kettle on. Let me tell you what nearly fifty years of meditation has taught me about how to live a quieter, clearer, more useful life - and how you can begin in the time it takes to brew a cuppa.

Who this is for
You don’t need a quiet life to have a quiet mind. A quiet mind is a skill. You can build it the way you build any other skill - a little each day, in the place where you already are, with the time you already have.
This course has helped:
- New parents trying to find five minutes that belong to them
- Self-employed people running small businesses
- Upper school students drowning in their lockers
- Adults living with ADHD who have never been able to sit still
- People recovering from grief, divorce or a hard year
- Quietly stressed workers who can’t tell anyone they’re not coping
If any of that sounds like you, you are very welcome here.
A short word from Robinanne
I have been using mindfulness and meditation for many decades and have come to know the real benefits derived from practising daily. I do not promise you a new life in thirty days. I do promise that if you can give the practice three weeks, it begins to do its own work. Be patient and resolute. Just keep persevering.
Stay in touch
I send a short note now and then with a small reflection, a new audio practice or a quiet bit of news. No clutter. You can unsubscribe whenever it stops being useful.
Be patient. Be resolute. I am so glad you came.
